We are seeking a visionary Senior 2D Artist to join the Nebula Creative Systems team in Austin, Texas. In this role, you will bridge the gap between artistic expression and technical implementation, crafting high-fidelity visual assets that define our brand identity. You will work closely with product managers and developers to ensure that every pixel serves a purpose, driving user engagement and retention.

Responsibilities
- Design and produce high-quality 2D assets, icons, and illustrations for web and mobile applications using industry-standard tools.
- Create engaging motion graphics and micro-interactions to enhance the user experience and storytelling elements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate complex concepts into accessible, visually stunning designs.
- Conduct user research and usability testing to validate design decisions and iterate on visual concepts.
- Maintain and evolve our design system, ensuring consistency across all platforms and products.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest design trends, tools, and technologies to keep our creative output ahead of the curve.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional experience in 2D design, illustration, or UI/UX design.
- Proven expertise in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects) and Figma.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating a diverse range of 2D styles and project types.
- Excellent understanding of typography, color theory, and layout principles.
- Experience with animation principles and motion design is a plus.
- Ability to receive constructive feedback and iterate quickly on design concepts.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to articulate design rationale to non-design stakeholders.
