Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization, cryptography, and machine learning applications
- Collaborate with hardware teams to overcome quantum decoherence and error correction challenges
- Lead experimental validation of quantum supremacy claims using IBM, Google, and D-Wave platforms
- Publish peer-reviewed research in top-tier journals (Nature, Science, Physical Review X)
- Secure $1M+ in government grants and industry partnerships for quantum initiatives
- Mentor PhD candidates and interns in quantum information theory
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 3+ years quantum research experience
- Expertise in quantum algorithms (Shor's, Grover's, VQE) and error correction codes
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Strong publication record in quantum computing or condensed matter physics
- Experience with quantum hardware interfaces (QPU, cryogenic systems)
- Deep understanding of quantum entanglement and superposition principles
- Ability to translate theoretical concepts into practical implementations
