Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for real-world optimization problems
- Lead R&D initiatives in quantum error correction and qubit stability
- Collaborate with hardware teams to co-design quantum processors
- Publish groundbreaking research in top-tier journals and conferences
- Mentor junior researchers and cross-functional engineering teams
- Secure external funding through NSF grants and industry partnerships
- Develop quantum computing frameworks for enterprise applications
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum computing research experience
- Expertise in quantum algorithm design (QAOA, VQE, Grover's)
- Proficiency with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Strong publication record in quantum computing or theoretical CS
- Experience with superconducting or photonic quantum systems
- Demonstrated ability to translate theoretical concepts into practical implementations
