Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and machine learning applications
- Lead experimental validation of quantum supremacy claims using IBM and Google quantum processors
- Develop error-correction frameworks for fault-tolerant quantum systems targeting 2026 deployment
- Collaborate with AI teams to integrate quantum-accelerated models into enterprise solutions
- Secure $2M+ in federal and corporate research grants for quantum initiatives
- Mentor PhD candidates and publish in Nature/Science journals
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years industry experience
- Published research in top-tier quantum computing journals (minimum 3 citations)
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, and quantum circuit optimization frameworks
- Demonstrated experience with cryogenic quantum hardware systems
- Strong background in topological quantum error correction protocols
- Proven ability to secure DOE/NIST quantum research funding
- Expertise in quantum machine learning applications
