As a Quantum AI Research Engineer, you'll architect hybrid quantum-classical algorithms, develop error-correction protocols, and collaborate with Nobel-caliber physicists to solve previously intractable problems in drug discovery, climate modeling, and materials science.
Our Austin campus features state-of-the-art cryogenic quantum processors and dedicated AI supercomputing clusters. You'll lead projects with $10M+ R&D budgets, publish in Nature/Science journals, and mentor PhD candidates while shaping the quantum computing roadmap for Fortune 500 partners.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum neural networks for real-time optimization challenges
- Develop hybrid quantum-classical frameworks for enterprise AI applications
- Create error-mitigation techniques for 1000+ qubit systems
- Lead cross-functional teams in translating quantum algorithms into production-ready solutions
- Secure federal grants and corporate partnerships for quantum AI initiatives
- Author peer-reviewed publications and whitepapers on quantum machine learning
- Drive quantum hardware-software co-design for next-generation processors
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (or equivalent research experience)
- 5+ years developing quantum algorithms or quantum machine learning models
- Proficiency in Python/C++ with quantum frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, PennyLane)
- Publication record in quantum computing or AI (arXiv, IEEE, ACM)
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Experience with high-performance computing (HPC) and GPU acceleration
- Demonstrated ability to secure research funding ($500K+ projects)
