Responsibilities
- Develop 5-year technology roadmaps for AI, biotech, and quantum computing verticals
- Identify and evaluate emerging technologies with $1B+ market disruption potential
- Lead cross-functional teams in implementing bleeding-edge pilot programs
- Present strategic insights to C-suite and board stakeholders quarterly
- Monitor global tech policy shifts and regulatory impacts on innovation
- Build partnerships with academic institutions and R&D consortia
- Mentor junior technologists in future-proof skill development
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy or R&D leadership
- PhD or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or Futuristics
- Published research in top-tier journals (Nature, Science, IEEE)
- Proven track record of scaling tech initiatives from concept to market
- Deep expertise in at least two emerging tech domains (AI, blockchain, AR/VR, synthetic biology)
- Experience securing federal/state innovation grants
- Fluency in strategic foresight methodologies (Delphi, Horizon Scanning)
- Portfolio of 3+ technologies successfully commercialized
