Responsibilities
- Monitor server health, performance metrics, and network traffic to ensure maximum uptime during weekend operations.
- Execute scheduled maintenance tasks, patch management, and security updates on Windows and Linux environments.
- Investigate and resolve technical incidents and service tickets escalated during the weekend shift.
- Perform routine backups and restore procedures to ensure data integrity and disaster recovery readiness.
- Collaborate with the on-call team lead to prioritize and escalate critical issues.
- Document all system changes, incidents, and resolutions in the IT ticketing system.
Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in IT support, systems administration, or network engineering.
- Strong proficiency with Linux (RHEL/CentOS) and Windows Server administration.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
- Experience with scripting languages (Python or Bash) for automation.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to obtain and maintain required security clearances or certifications (CompTIA Security+ preferred).
