In this role, you will be the technical guardian of our platform, ensuring uptime, optimizing performance, and leading architectural decisions during off-peak hours. You will collaborate with a dedicated team of weekend specialists to deploy features that drive our business forward.
Responsibilities
- Architect & Deploy: Lead the design, development, and deployment of high-availability software solutions specifically for weekend maintenance and feature releases.
- System Optimization: Monitor system performance and database integrity to ensure zero downtime and maximum efficiency during critical periods.
- Code Review & Mentorship: Conduct rigorous code reviews and mentor junior developers within the weekend squad to maintain high code quality standards.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with the Product and QA teams to define technical requirements and ensure seamless feature integration.
- Security & Compliance: Implement robust security protocols and perform vulnerability assessments to protect sensitive user data.
- Technical Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of architecture, APIs, and operational procedures for future reference.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of professional software development experience, with a strong preference for candidates willing to work the weekend shift.
- Technical Stack: Proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+), React, Node.js, and SQL.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Problem Solving: Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex issues under pressure and implement scalable solutions.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of articulating technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Tools: Experience with Git, Docker, AWS, and CI/CD pipelines.
