Responsibilities
- Lead Infrastructure Deployment: Oversee the design, installation, and maintenance of high-bandwidth network systems, including 5G and Wi-Fi 7, across all host venues in the USA.
- Cybersecurity Management: Implement robust security protocols to protect sensitive data and ensure the integrity of the tournament's digital ecosystem against potential cyber threats.
- Disaster Recovery & Resilience: Develop and execute comprehensive contingency plans to guarantee 99.99% uptime and rapid recovery from any technical disruptions.
- Vendor Coordination: Manage relationships with third-party vendors and technology partners to ensure alignment with project timelines and budget constraints.
- Team Leadership: Mentor a diverse team of network engineers, IT specialists, and support staff, fostering a culture of innovation and operational excellence.
- Real-Time Monitoring: Utilize advanced monitoring tools to analyze network performance in real-time, identifying and resolving issues before they impact spectators.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in IT operations, network engineering, or large-scale event technology management.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Certifications: Relevant certifications such as PMP, TOGAF, or CISSP are highly desirable.
- Technical Skills: Deep knowledge of network architecture, cloud computing (AWS/Azure), and cybersecurity best practices.
- Project Management: Proven track record of successfully delivering complex technical projects on time and within budget.
- Communication: Exceptional ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and executive leadership.
