Responsibilities
- Lead horizon-scanning initiatives to identify emerging technologies, market shifts, and societal trends through 2026 and beyond
- Develop and present scenario-planning frameworks to executive leadership, informing strategic decisions and R&D priorities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate future-focused insights into product development cycles
- Build and maintain a global network of futurists, technologists, and industry thought leaders
- Author quarterly trend reports and white papers that position Horizon Dynamics as a thought leader
- Design and facilitate innovation workshops using foresight methodologies
- Analyze geopolitical and socioeconomic factors impacting technological adoption
Qualifications
- Advanced degree (Master's or PhD) in Futures Studies, Technology Forecasting, Strategic Innovation, or related field
- 7+ years of experience in strategic foresight, innovation consulting, or technology trend analysis
- Proven track record of developing and implementing scenario-planning frameworks for Fortune 500 companies
- Deep expertise in emerging technologies: quantum computing, AI ethics, biotechnology convergence, and sustainable tech
- Exceptional data visualization and storytelling skills with ability to communicate complex concepts to diverse audiences
- Published thought leadership in futurism or technology innovation (portfolio required)
- Certification in foresight methodologies (e.g., from Futures School or foresight certification programs)
