The Role:
We are looking for a hands-on leader to manage the lifecycle of major technical projects within our stadium facilities. You will bridge the gap between engineering teams, stadium operations, and international governing bodies.
Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of large-scale technical infrastructure projects for the 2026 World Cup and legacy operations.
- Manage cross-functional teams, including software engineers, network architects, and stadium operations staff, ensuring alignment with FIFA technical standards.
- Oversee the deployment and optimization of stadium-wide Wi-Fi 6E and 5G networks to handle high-density fan traffic.
- Implement rigorous risk management protocols to mitigate technical disruptions during high-profile events.
- Coordinate closely with international stakeholders and governing bodies to ensure compliance with global event protocols.
- Monitor project budgets and timelines, utilizing Agile and Waterfall methodologies as appropriate.
Qualifications
- Minimum 8 years of experience in Technical Project Management, specifically within the sports, entertainment, or large-venue industry.
- PMP or PRINCE2 certification is strongly preferred.
- Proven track record of managing complex IT infrastructure projects, preferably involving stadium or arena environments.
- Strong knowledge of network architecture, cloud computing (AWS/Azure), and IoT integration.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex technical data to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to travel for on-site project management at various venues (up to 25%).
