Job Description

We are at the forefront of the digital transformation for the 2026 FIFA World Cup. As the host nation, the United States is building a legacy of world-class sports infrastructure. We are seeking a visionary Senior Technical Program Manager to lead the engineering roadmap for our central data platform.

In this pivotal role, you will bridge the gap between technical execution and strategic business goals, ensuring the seamless integration of millions of user touchpoints across 16 host cities. You will drive the roadmap for cloud migration, real-time data synchronization, and AI-driven analytics tools.

If you thrive in high-stakes environments and want to leave a mark on history, this is your opportunity to build the digital backbone of the world's largest sporting event.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end delivery of the 2026 Digital Infrastructure Program, ensuring alignment with FIFA standards and US-hosting requirements.
  • Manage cross-functional teams comprising software engineers, DevOps specialists, and data scientists across multiple time zones.
  • Define and maintain the technical roadmap, balancing innovation with delivery timelines for critical stadium and fan-zone systems.
  • Execute rigorous risk management strategies to mitigate potential bottlenecks in large-scale deployments.
  • Facilitate high-level stakeholder communication, providing transparent progress updates to executive leadership and international partners.
  • Drive the adoption of Agile methodologies to ensure rapid iteration and continuous delivery of high-quality software.
  • Oversee budget allocation and resource optimization for complex technical projects.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in Technical Program Management or Engineering Management, preferably within high-scale technology or large-scale event infrastructure.
  • Proven track record of managing large, distributed teams (50+ engineers) and delivering complex software solutions on time.
  • Deep understanding of cloud architectures (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and microservices.
  • Strong expertise in Agile/Scrum frameworks and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to translate technical jargon into business value for diverse stakeholders.
  • Experience working in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments (e.g., Olympics, World Cup, or major tech product launches).
  • PMP or PgMP certification is highly preferred.
