Responsibilities
- Design and Development: Architect and implement fault-tolerant quantum circuits and algorithms using state-of-the-art hardware.
- Optimization: Optimize quantum circuit performance to maximize qubit coherence and minimize error rates.
- Research: Conduct rigorous research on novel quantum error correction methods and quantum machine learning models.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with physicists, hardware engineers, and data scientists to integrate quantum solutions into broader software ecosystems.
- Documentation: Create comprehensive technical documentation, whitepapers, and patents to protect intellectual property.
- Training: Mentor junior engineers and researchers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation.
Qualifications
- Education: Masterβs or PhD degree in Physics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field with a focus on quantum mechanics.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in software engineering, with at least 2 years specifically focused on quantum computing or advanced simulation.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C++, and Qiskit or Cirq.
- Problem Solving: Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex quantum system failures.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of explaining complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Tools: Experience with cloud-based quantum computing platforms (AWS Braket, Google Cloud Quantum AI) is highly preferred.
