In this role, you will design scalable quantum algorithms, optimize quantum error correction protocols, and bridge the gap between complex theoretical physics and practical, production-grade software engineering. Responsibilities
- Architect and implement scalable quantum algorithms for optimization, cryptography, and simulation.
- Develop and optimize quantum error correction (QEC) codes to improve qubit fidelity and system stability.
- Collaborate closely with hardware engineering teams to translate physical constraints into software requirements.
- Build high-fidelity quantum simulators and compiler stacks using industry-standard frameworks like Qiskit, Cirq, or PennyLane.
- Mentor a team of junior quantum software engineers and conduct technical training sessions.
- Translate complex quantum mechanics concepts into intuitive APIs for downstream application developers.
Qualifications
- PhD or Masterβs degree in Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, or a related technical field.
- 3+ years of professional experience in quantum computing, quantum software development, or related research.
- Proficiency in Python, C++, and familiarity with linear algebra and quantum mechanics fundamentals.
- Hands-on experience with quantum computing libraries (Qiskit, PyTorch Quantum, TensorFlow Quantum).
- Experience integrating quantum solutions with classical cloud infrastructure (AWS Braket, Azure Quantum, Google Cirq).
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, experimental environment.
