Responsibilities
- Monitor network performance, traffic, and security metrics 24/7 to ensure optimal uptime and zero downtime.
- Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues during night shifts and weekends with minimal supervision.
- Execute scheduled maintenance, patch management, and system upgrades during off-peak hours to minimize business impact.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement network architecture improvements and security protocols.
- Document all incidents, resolutions, and network configurations in our ticketing system for audit and training purposes.
- Conduct regular audits of network hardware and software to ensure compliance with industry standards.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Network Engineering or System Administration.
- Strong proficiency with Cisco routing and switching (CCNP or CCIE preferred).
- Experience working in 24/7 operational environments or rotating night shift schedules.
- Deep knowledge of TCP/IP, VPNs, firewalls, and network security best practices.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- BS in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent work experience.
