Responsibilities
- Design and maintain the core network infrastructure for the 2026 Games, ensuring high availability and low latency.
- Implement and manage cloud-based solutions (AWS/Azure) to handle real-time data streaming for millions of concurrent users.
- Develop and execute comprehensive cybersecurity protocols to protect sensitive athlete data and event infrastructure.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate IoT devices and smart venue technologies.
- Conduct regular infrastructure audits and disaster recovery planning to minimize operational risk.
- Mentor junior engineers and ensure adherence to ITIL and ISO 27001 standards.
Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in IT Infrastructure Engineering, with a focus on large-scale enterprise environments.
- Strong proficiency in network protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF) and hardware (Cisco, Juniper).
- Expertise in cloud platforms, specifically AWS or Azure, with a focus on Kubernetes and containerization.
- Deep understanding of cybersecurity best practices and compliance frameworks.
- Experience working in high-pressure environments or event-based technology deployments is a major plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
