Responsibilities
- Analyze global megatrends, technological disruptions, and socio-economic indicators to forecast 2026 industry landscapes
- Develop and maintain Horizon Dynamics' 5-year strategic innovation framework
- Lead cross-functional workshops to translate foresight insights into actionable product roadmaps
- Establish strategic partnerships with academic institutions, government labs, and emerging tech startups
- Author thought leadership publications and keynote presentations on future-facing topics
- Mentor junior futurists and build the organization's foresight capabilities
- Present quarterly trend briefings to the Board of Directors and executive leadership team
Qualifications
- Advanced degree (Master's or PhD) in Futures Studies, Strategic Foresight, Technology Forecasting, or related field
- Minimum 8 years of experience in strategic planning, innovation consulting, or futurist research
- Proven track record of developing and implementing future-oriented business strategies
- Deep expertise in emerging technologies (quantum computing, synthetic biology, neural interfaces)
- Exceptional systems thinking and scenario modeling capabilities
- Published author or recognized speaker in futurism or strategic foresight domains
- Proficiency in foresight methodologies (Delphi, Horizon Scanning, Cross-Impact Matrices)
- Ability to translate complex future scenarios into clear business imperatives
