This role demands equal parts analytical rigor and creative foresight.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain horizon-scanning frameworks to identify emerging technologies and market disruptors through 2026
- Lead multi-stakeholder scenario-planning workshops to model potential futures and strategic implications
- Produce high-impact trend reports and foresight briefings for executive decision-making
- Architect innovation roadmaps aligned with long-term societal and technological trajectories
- Establish partnerships with academic institutions and R&D labs to capture cutting-edge insights
- Mentor junior futurists and cross-functional teams on strategic foresight methodologies
- Represent the company at global forums on future trends and disruptive innovation
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Futures Studies, Strategic Foresight, Technology Forecasting, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 8+ years of professional experience in strategic foresight, innovation consulting, or technology strategy
- Proven track record of developing and implementing scenario-planning frameworks for Fortune 500 companies
- Deep expertise in exponential technologies (AI, quantum computing, synthetic biology, etc.) and their market impacts
- Exceptional skills in data visualization, trend analysis, and translating complex insights into actionable strategies
- Experience publishing thought leadership in peer-reviewed journals or industry publications
- Strong stakeholder management abilities with C-suite and board-level executives
- Portfolio demonstrating successful future-state strategy implementations
