Responsibilities
- Lead horizon scanning research to identify disruptive technologies and societal shifts impacting 2026+ markets
- Develop strategic foresight frameworks and scenario-planning models for executive decision-making
- Collaborate with R&D teams to translate future insights into actionable innovation pipelines
- Present visionary roadmaps to stakeholders through compelling data visualizations and narrative storytelling
- Establish cross-functional futures councils to embed foresight into organizational DNA
- Author thought leadership publications on emerging trends and future-proof business strategies
- Monitor geopolitical and macroeconomic indicators to anticipate systemic disruptions
Qualifications
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Strategic Foresight, Technology Forecasting, or related field
- 7+ years experience in strategic planning, innovation consulting, or futurist research
- Proven track record of translating complex future scenarios into business strategy
- Expertise in trend analysis, scenario planning, and horizon scanning methodologies
- Strong proficiency in data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI) and predictive modeling
- Exceptional presentation skills with executive experience
- Deep knowledge of emerging technologies (AI, quantum computing, biotech)
- Published thought leadership in futurism or innovation strategy
