Responsibilities
- Lead strategic foresight initiatives to identify and analyze emerging technologies with transformative potential for 2026
- Architect innovation roadmaps integrating AI, quantum computing, biotech, and sustainable systems
- Partner with engineering and product teams to prototype and validate futuristic concepts
- Present strategic insights to executive stakeholders and board members through compelling narratives
- Establish industry partnerships and thought leadership through conferences, publications, and media engagements
- Manage a $50M+ innovation budget with ROI-focused resource allocation
- Mentor junior futurists and cultivate a culture of radical innovation across the organization
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic innovation, R&D leadership, or futurist consulting
- Proven track record of commercializing emerging technologies (3+ successful launches)
- Advanced degree in relevant field (PhD/MSc in Technology, Futures Studies, or equivalent)
- Deep expertise in at least two of: AI/ML, quantum computing, synthetic biology, or climate tech
- Exceptional systems thinking with ability to model complex socio-technological ecosystems
- Executive presence with experience interfacing with C-suite and boards
- Published thought leader (white papers, patents, or industry publications)
- Proficiency in futures research methodologies (scenario planning, Delphi, horizon scanning)
