Responsibilities
- Develop 5-year strategic roadmaps for emerging technologies (quantum computing, AGI, neurotech)
- Lead cross-functional innovation sprints with engineering and product teams
- Conduct horizon scanning to identify disruptive market opportunities
- Present future scenarios to C-suite executives and board members
- Manage a $2M innovation portfolio with measurable ROI targets
- Author thought leadership publications in top-tier tech journals
- Mentor junior futurists and build an internal innovation pipeline
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic planning, R&D, or futurist consulting
- Advanced degree in Technology Forecasting, Systems Engineering, or equivalent
- Published research on emerging tech adoption patterns (2018-2023)
- Proven experience leading enterprise innovation initiatives >$1M
- Expertise in scenario planning and trend analysis methodologies
- Deep knowledge of at least two future-critical domains (e.g., AI ethics, climate tech)
- Exceptional storytelling skills for complex technical concepts
