Responsibilities
- Lead horizon scanning for 2026-relevant technologies across quantum computing, neuromorphic chips, and synthetic biology
- Develop predictive models for tech adoption curves using proprietary data analytics platform
- Produce monthly 'Tech Pulse' briefings for C-suite executives and venture partners
- Coordinate with R&D teams to validate emerging tech feasibility against market readiness
- Represent Horizon Dynamics at global tech conferences (Web Summit, CES, Slush) as keynote speaker
- Mentor junior analysts using our proprietary 'Foresight Methodology' framework
- Collaborate with MIT Media Lab and Singularity University on exclusive research initiatives
Qualifications
- PhD in Futures Studies, Technology Forecasting, or equivalent with 5+ years applied experience
- Published research in Nature Futures or similar peer-reviewed foresight journals
- Expertise in scenario planning methodologies (e.g., Delphi, STEEP analysis)
- Proficiency in predictive analytics tools (Python, R, TensorFlow) and data visualization (Tableau, D3.js)
- Demonstrated track record of identifying commercially viable emerging technologies
- Experience advising Fortune 500 executives on tech strategy and innovation roadmapping
- Portfolio of 3+ successful tech predictions validated by market outcomes
- Certification in Applied Foresight from the Association of Professional Futurists
