Responsibilities
- Conduct horizon-scanning research across 15+ emerging technology domains (quantum computing, synthetic biology, AI ethics)
- Develop predictive models and scenario analyses for 2026 market landscapes
- Author high-impact strategic briefings for executive stakeholders and board members
- Lead cross-functional workshops to translate foresight into product roadmaps
- Build and maintain proprietary trend intelligence database with real-time analytics
- Represent the organization at global futures conferences and industry summits
- Mentor junior futurists and establish best practices for strategic foresight
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Futures Studies, Strategic Foresight, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 7+ years in strategic foresight, trend analysis, or corporate innovation
- Proven track record of translating future scenarios into executable strategies
- Expertise in horizon scanning methodologies (Delphi, STEEP, causal layered analysis)
- Proficiency in data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI) and predictive modeling
- Published thought leadership in futures or technology journals
- Exceptional storytelling abilities for complex concepts to diverse audiences
- Experience with scenario planning for Fortune 500 companies
