Responsibilities
- Lead horizon scanning initiatives identifying breakthrough technologies with 2026+ commercialization potential
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive technology foresight framework mapping quantum/AI convergence pathways
- Collaborate with C-suite executives to integrate future scenarios into product roadmaps
- Produce white papers and thought leadership on emerging tech societal impacts
- Manage cross-functional innovation sprints prototyping 2026-viable solutions
- Establish strategic partnerships with academic labs and tech incubators
- Mentor junior futurists in scenario planning and trend analysis methodologies
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic foresight, R&D, or emerging technology leadership
- Proven expertise in quantum computing, AGI development, or biotech convergence
- Published thought leadership in peer-reviewed tech journals or industry white papers
- MSc/PhD in Computer Science, Physics, or Future Studies (or equivalent experience)
- Portfolio demonstrating technology roadmaps implemented with $10M+ impact
- Deep understanding of exponential technology ethics and governance frameworks
- Experience with scenario planning tools (e.g., Delphi method, causal layered analysis)
- Exceptional communication skills translating complex concepts for diverse stakeholders
