Responsibilities
- Develop AI Governance Frameworks: Establish comprehensive policies and ethical guidelines for the development, deployment, and maintenance of machine learning models.
- Risk Assessment & Auditing: Conduct rigorous risk assessments on proprietary algorithms to identify and mitigate biases, safety risks, and compliance gaps.
- Regulatory Liaison: Monitor global regulatory developments (such as the EU AI Act and emerging US frameworks) and translate them into actionable technical requirements for engineering teams.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, legal, and product management to embed ethics into the software development lifecycle.
- Transparency Initiatives: Lead internal and external transparency efforts, ensuring our AI systems are explainable and understandable to users and regulators alike.
- Training & Culture: Design and deliver training programs to foster an ethical culture of innovation across the organization.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Law, Philosophy, or a related field; Master’s degree or JD preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in compliance, ethics, risk management, or a related field within the tech industry.
- Technical Acumen: Deep understanding of machine learning concepts, neural networks, and AI architecture.
- Analytical Skills: Exceptional ability to analyze complex data and technical systems to identify ethical risks.
- Communication: Proven track record of communicating complex ethical concepts to diverse audiences, including technical teams and executive leadership.
- Attention to Detail: Meticulous approach to documentation, auditing, and regulatory adherence.
