We are seeking a talented and creative Senior 2D Web Interaction Developer to lead our motion graphics and interactive design initiatives. In this role, you will bridge the gap between design and engineering, crafting smooth, performant 2D animations that captivate users and drive engagement. You will work closely with our UX/UI team to implement cutting-edge techniques in HTML5 Canvas, SVG manipulation, and JavaScript.
Responsibilities
- Design & Development: Create complex, high-performance 2D animations and interactive elements using HTML5 Canvas, SVG, and modern JavaScript libraries (GSAP, Three.js, Pixi.js).
- Performance Optimization: Ensure all 2D interactions are buttery smooth, responsive, and optimized for all devices and screen sizes.
- Code Architecture: Write clean, maintainable, and scalable code following best practices and architectural patterns.
- Cross-Platform Compatibility: Maintain pixel-perfect rendering across various browsers (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge) and ensure accessibility standards (WCAG) are met.
- Creative Collaboration: Partner with designers to translate complex motion concepts into robust technical solutions.
- Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of animation libraries, techniques, and code patterns used within the team.
Qualifications
- Experience: 5+ years of professional experience in frontend development with a strong focus on 2D graphics and animation.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, CSS3, and modern animation libraries. Experience with WebGL is a plus.
- Mathematics: Strong understanding of linear algebra, trigonometry, and physics concepts as they apply to motion.
- Problem Solving: Ability to troubleshoot complex rendering issues and optimize performance under heavy loads.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Graphic Design, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Portfolio: A strong, portfolio showcasing 2D web animations and interactive projects.
