Responsibilities
- Architect Gameplay: Design, implement, and optimize core 2D gameplay mechanics, physics, and interaction loops to ensure a seamless player experience.
- Performance Tuning: Analyze and optimize rendering pipelines and frame rates to maintain 60FPS performance across diverse devices.
- Technical Leadership: Mentor junior developers, conduct code reviews, and establish coding standards within the engineering department.
- Collaboration: Work closely with artists, designers, and producers to translate creative concepts into robust technical solutions.
- Tooling: Develop and maintain internal tools and scripts to streamline the development workflow and asset management.
- Debugging: Troubleshoot complex technical issues and resolve bugs in a timely manner.
Qualifications
- Experience: 5+ years of professional experience in 2D game development using C#, C++, or Unity.
- Graphics Proficiency: Strong understanding of 2D graphics pipelines, sprites, shaders, and rendering techniques.
- Mathematics: Solid grasp of vector mathematics, linear algebra, and physics concepts.
- Problem Solving: Ability to debug complex systems and optimize performance under tight deadlines.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Tools: Proficiency with Git, Perforce, and common version control workflows.
