Responsibilities
- Design and implement cryogenic quantum processor cooling systems with <5mK stability
- Develop classical-quantum control interfaces using FPGA and ASIC technologies
- Architect quantum network topologies with quantum memory nodes
- Optimize quantum error correction protocols for fault-tolerant operations
- Collaborate with physicists to translate quantum algorithms into hardware specifications
- Lead integration of quantum accelerators with HPC supercomputing clusters
- Document quantum system performance metrics for continuous improvement
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Electrical Engineering, or related field (MS with 8+ years experience)
- Expertise in quantum error correction codes and fault-tolerant architectures
- Proficiency in cryogenic engineering and ultra-low-temperature systems
- Strong background in FPGA programming (Verilog/VHDL) and quantum control systems
- Experience with quantum computing platforms (IBM Q, Rigetti, or D-Wave)
- Published research in quantum information science or quantum hardware
- Understanding of quantum machine learning algorithms and applications
