Responsibilities
- Design and deploy hybrid quantum-classical computing infrastructure for enterprise-scale applications
- Develop error-correction protocols for multi-qubit systems operating at millikelvin temperatures
- Architect fault-tolerant quantum networks integrating photonic interconnects and cryogenic control systems
- Optimize quantum algorithm execution on silicon-spin qubit processors with >99.9% fidelity
- Create security frameworks for post-quantum cryptographic systems resistant to Shor's algorithm
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping quantum machine learning pipelines
- Document quantum hardware-software interfaces for developer ecosystem expansion
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Engineering, or equivalent with 5+ years infrastructure experience
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Q#, Quil, or Qiskit) and circuit optimization
- Expertise in cryogenic engineering and superconducting qubit manipulation
- Demonstrated success in scaling quantum systems beyond 1000 qubits
- Published research in top-tier quantum computing journals (Nature Quantum, PRX Quantum)
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction surface codes and topological protection
- Security clearance eligibility for DoD quantum defense projects
