Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization problems with 100+ qubit systems
- Lead cross-functional R&D teams in developing error-correction protocols for scalable quantum processors
- Collaborate with AI specialists to integrate quantum computing with machine learning pipelines
- Publish breakthrough research in peer-reviewed journals and present at international conferences
- Secure $5M+ in research grants through NSF and DARPA proposal development
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information science through our academic partnership program
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 3+ years industry experience
- Proven expertise in quantum circuit design and quantum error mitigation techniques
- Publication record in Nature/Science or equivalent tier journals
- Proficiency in quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Demonstrated ability to translate theoretical concepts into practical prototypes
- Strong background in high-performance computing and parallel processing architectures
- Experience with cryogenic quantum system integration and calibration
