Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for practical applications in cryptography and optimization
- Lead experimental validation of quantum gate operations on superconducting qubits
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to improve qubit coherence times and error correction
- Develop quantum machine learning frameworks for predictive analytics
- Author peer-reviewed research and secure intellectual property
- Mentor junior researchers in quantum computing methodologies
- Secure federal and private research funding through compelling proposals
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 3+ years postdoctoral experience
- Published research in Nature/Science or equivalent high-impact journals
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, or Cirq)
- Proficiency with cryogenic systems and microwave control electronics
- Demonstrated experience with quantum error correction protocols
- Strong background in linear algebra and complex probability theory
- Track record of translating theoretical concepts into experimental results
