Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization and cryptography challenges
- Collaborate with hardware teams to develop scalable quantum processors
- Publish peer-reviewed research in top-tier journals and conferences
- Lead cross-functional projects with AI, blockchain, and materials science teams
- Secure $2M+ in annual research grants through NIH/NSF proposals
- Mentor PhD candidates and postdoctoral researchers
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with quantum annealing systems
- Publication record in Nature/Science or equivalent
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, or similar quantum programming frameworks
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction techniques
- Experience securing federal research grants
- Patents in quantum computing or related fields preferred
