Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for complex optimization problems
- Develop error-correction protocols for quantum processors
- Collaborate with hardware teams to improve qubit stability and scalability

- Publish breakthrough findings in peer-reviewed journals
- Mentor junior researchers and PhD candidates
- Secure federal and private research funding through grant proposals
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, etc.)
- Published research in quantum information science or topological computing
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Strong background in linear algebra, complex analysis, and statistical mechanics
- Experience with superconducting or ion-trap quantum systems
- Demonstrated ability to secure research funding >$1M
