Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Develop error mitigation protocols for fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Collaborate on quantum hardware-software co-design initiatives
- Lead research publications in top-tier journals (Nature, Science, etc.)
- Mentor junior researchers and cross-functional engineering teams
- Secure federal and private research grants totaling $500K+
- Participate in quantum standards development with IEEE and NIST
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science from Tier 1 institution
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum programming (Qiskit, Cirq)
- Published research in quantum algorithm development or error correction
- Proficiency in linear algebra, quantum mechanics, and statistical analysis
- Experience with high-performance computing (HPC) environments
- Demonstrated ability to translate theoretical concepts into practical implementations
- Strong background in cryptography or machine learning preferred
