Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for commercial applications in finance and healthcare
- Lead experimental validation of quantum supremacy claims using superconducting qubits
- Collaborate with AI teams to develop hybrid quantum-classical machine learning models
- Publish breakthrough research in top-tier journals and present at international conferences
- Secure $2M+ in annual research grants from government and industry partners
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information science
- Patent novel quantum error correction techniques for scalable systems
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum hardware (IBM Q, Rigetti, or IonQ)
- Published research in quantum algorithms or quantum error correction
- Proficiency in Python with quantum libraries (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Deep understanding of quantum entanglement and decoherence mechanisms
- Experience with high-performance computing clusters
- Strong track record of securing research funding
