Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for error correction and optimization
- Lead cross-functional teams to prototype quantum processors with >1000 qubit stability
- Develop hybrid quantum-classical machine learning frameworks for 2026-era applications
- Secure patents on quantum-resistant encryption methodologies
- Publish breakthrough research in Nature Physics/Science journals
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information theory
- Partner with government agencies on quantum security standardization
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum circuit design experience
- Publication record in top-tier quantum computing journals
- Expertise in Qiskit, Cirq, or equivalent quantum SDKs
- Deep understanding of quantum decoherence mitigation strategies
- Proficiency in Python, C++, and low-level quantum assembly
- Clearance for DoD quantum research initiatives (or ability to obtain)
