Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for cryptography, optimization, and machine learning
- Develop quantum error correction techniques to enhance qubit stability
- Collaborate with hardware teams to prototype quantum processors at cryogenic temperatures
- Lead cross-functional projects with AI specialists and materials scientists
- Publish findings in peer-reviewed journals and present at international conferences
- Secure research grants from NSF, DARPA, and private sector partners
- Mentor PhD candidates and junior researchers in quantum methodologies
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Expertise in quantum algorithms (Shor's, Grover's, VQE) and quantum circuit design
- Proficiency with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Strong background in linear algebra, statistical mechanics, and information theory
- Experience with cryogenic quantum systems or superconducting qubits
- Track record of peer-reviewed publications in quantum computing
- Ability to translate complex theoretical concepts into practical applications
