Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation challenges
- Lead cross-functional teams to develop hybrid quantum-classical machine learning frameworks
- Collaborate with hardware teams to optimize quantum circuits for NISQ-era devices
- Publish groundbreaking research in top-tier journals and conferences
- Secure external funding through NSF and DOE grant applications
- Mentor junior researchers and foster a culture of experimental rigor
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent industry experience)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, or PennyLane)
- Publication record in quantum information science or quantum machine learning
- Proficiency in Python, C++, and high-performance computing environments
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Demonstrated ability to translate theoretical concepts into practical implementations
- Strong background in linear algebra, probability theory, and complexity theory
