Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for real-world applications
- Lead cross-functional teams of physicists and software engineers
- Develop error-correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Secure $10M+ in government/industry research grants
- Author 3+ peer-reviewed publications annually
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information theory
- Collaborate with Intel, IBM, and NASA on quantum-hybrid systems
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years of quantum algorithm development experience
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, or equivalent quantum frameworks
- Published research in quantum error correction or cryptography
- Deep understanding of quantum decoherence mitigation
- Strong Python/C++ programming skills with scientific computing
- Experience securing federal research grants (NSF/DOE)
- Expertise in tensor networks and quantum simulation methods
