Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation challenges
- Lead cross-functional R&D teams in developing fault-tolerant quantum architectures
- Collaborate with government agencies on national quantum security initiatives
- Author peer-reviewed publications and patents for 2026-era quantum technologies
- Develop hybrid quantum-classical computing frameworks for commercial applications
- Mentor postdoctoral researchers and PhD students in quantum information science
- Present breakthrough findings at premier conferences like Q2B and IEEE Quantum Week
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of hands-on quantum computing research with superconducting or photonic systems
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Publication record in Nature/Science or top-tier quantum computing journals
- Proficiency in quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Experience with high-performance computing and parallel processing
- Demonstrated ability to secure government or corporate research grants
