Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Develop error-correction protocols for quantum coherence beyond 1000-qubit systems
- Lead cross-functional research teams in quantum machine learning integration
- Publish breakthrough findings in top-tier journals and industry conferences
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to optimize quantum circuit architectures
- Secure patents for proprietary quantum methodologies and IP
- Mentor junior researchers in quantum theory and experimental techniques
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years research
- Published work in Nature/Science or equivalent quantum computing journals
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant systems
- Proficiency with Qiskit, Cirq, or equivalent quantum programming frameworks
- Experience with superconducting or trapped-ion quantum processors
- Demonstrated ability to secure competitive research grants ($1M+)
- Strong background in topological quantum computing or quantum annealing
