Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Develop error mitigation techniques for quantum hardware stability
- Lead cross-functional projects with AI and cryptography teams
- Publish 2-3 peer-reviewed research papers annually
- Mentor junior researchers in quantum mechanics principles
- Secure $500K+ in annual research grants from NSF/NIH
- Participate in quantum standards development with IEEE
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum programming experience
- Expertise in Q#, Qiskit, or Cirq frameworks
- Published research in Nature/Science journals
- Deep understanding of quantum decoherence models
- Strong background in linear algebra and topology
- Experience with cryogenic quantum systems
- Security clearance eligibility preferred
