Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization, cryptography, and machine learning applications
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to develop quantum error correction protocols
- Lead experimental validation of quantum systems on cutting-edge hardware platforms
- Publish research in top-tier journals and present at international conferences
- Mentor junior researchers and drive cross-functional innovation projects
- Secure external funding through NSF, DoE, and industry partnerships
- Develop roadmaps for scalable quantum computing architectures post-2025
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years research experience
- Proven expertise in quantum algorithms (Shor's, Grover's, VQE) and quantum error correction
- Publication record in Nature/Science or equivalent quantum computing venues
- Proficiency with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Strong background in quantum hardware (superconducting, trapped ion, photonic)
