Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization, cryptography, and machine learning
- Collaborate with quantum hardware engineers to bridge theoretical research with practical implementations
- Lead research initiatives in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant systems
- Publish findings in top-tier journals (Nature, Science, etc.) and present at international conferences
- Secure external funding through NSF and DARPA grant proposals
- Mentor junior researchers and PhD candidates in quantum methodologies
- Develop strategic roadmaps for quantum computing adoption in enterprise environments
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent research experience)
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#) and quantum circuit design
- Proven track record of peer-reviewed publications in quantum computing
- Strong mathematical foundations in linear algebra, probability, and information theory
- Experience with quantum simulation tools (QASM, Quil) and HPC environments
- Deep understanding of quantum decoherence and noise mitigation techniques
- Ability to translate complex quantum concepts for diverse technical and non-technical audiences
