Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Lead cross-functional R&D teams to prototype quantum error correction protocols
- Publish peer-reviewed research in Nature/Science journals with quarterly targets
- Develop patent-pending quantum hardware-software interfaces
- Mentor PhD candidates in our Quantum Engineering Fellowship program
- Secure $2M+ in annual DARPA/NIST research grants
- Present findings at IEEE Quantum Week and World Economic Forum summits
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (2018-2023)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with superconducting qubits or ion traps
- Published research in quantum machine learning or topological quantum computing
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, and quantum circuit optimization frameworks
- Security clearance eligibility (active or within 6 months)
- Experience securing federal research grants (NSF/DOE preferred)
- Fluency in Python/C++ with low-level quantum control systems
- Track record of translating theoretical models to experimental validation
