Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Develop error-correction protocols for NISQ-era quantum processors
- Collaborate with hardware teams to co-design quantum-resistant cryptographic systems
- Lead cross-functional research initiatives with AI/ML and blockchain divisions
- Publish breakthrough research in Nature/Science journals and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Mentor junior researchers in quantum information theory
- Secure $2M+ in government/private quantum research grants annually
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (2019-2023)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Quipper)
- Published research in quantum error correction or topological qubits
- Expertise in tensor networks and quantum machine learning frameworks
- Proficiency with superconducting qubit architectures or trapped-ion systems
- Strong Python/C++ skills with parallel computing experience
- Demonstrated ability to secure competitive research funding
- Fluency in quantum circuit optimization techniques
