Responsibilities
- Lead quantum algorithm research for practical applications in cryptography and optimization
- Design and implement error-corrected quantum circuits using superconducting qubits
- Collaborate with engineering teams to prototype quantum processors at 99.9% fidelity
- Publish peer-reviewed research in Nature/Science journals with quarterly impact targets
- Mentor junior researchers and develop quantum computing curriculum for partner universities
- Secure $2M+ annual research grants through DARPA and NSF proposals
- Drive quantum cloud platform integration with AWS/Azure quantum services
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (postdoc preferred)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum circuit design in Qiskit/Cirq
- Published research in top quantum computing conferences (QIP, IEEE QCE)
- Expertise in quantum error correction codes (surface/colour codes)
- Proficiency in high-performance computing environments (HPC clusters)
- Demonstrated ability to secure federal research funding
- Strong background in machine learning for quantum system optimization
- Patent portfolio in quantum technologies (3+ patents preferred)
