Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for practical applications in cryptography, optimization, and machine learning
- Develop quantum error correction protocols and fault-tolerant computing architectures
- Lead experimental quantum hardware validation using superconducting qubits and photonic systems
- Collaborate with AI researchers to create hybrid quantum-classical computing frameworks
- Publish findings in leading journals (Nature, Science, etc.) and present at international conferences
- Secure competitive research grants from NSF, DARPA, and industry partners
- Mentor junior researchers and contribute to quantum education initiatives
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent research experience)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant computing principles
- Proven track record of peer-reviewed publications in quantum information science
