Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and machine learning applications
- Collaborate with hardware teams to develop error correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Lead quantum software development using Qiskit, Cirq, and custom frameworks
- Publish research in top-tier journals and present at international quantum computing conferences
- Mentor junior researchers and contribute to open-source quantum computing initiatives
- Develop quantum security protocols for next-gen cryptographic systems
- Analyze quantum system performance metrics and propose architectural improvements
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm development experience
- Proficiency in Python, C++, and quantum programming frameworks
- Deep understanding of quantum entanglement, superposition, and decoherence
- Publication record in quantum computing or quantum information theory
- Experience with quantum hardware platforms (IBM Q, Rigetti, or similar)
- Strong background in linear algebra and probability theory
- Ability to work in cross-functional teams with physicists and engineers
