Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Lead experimental validation of quantum supremacy claims using IBM and Rigetti systems
- Develop error correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum computing architectures
- Collaborate with pharmaceutical partners to accelerate drug discovery via quantum molecular modeling
- Publish research in Nature Physics/Quantum and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Mentor quantum engineering interns and contribute to open-source frameworks like Qiskit
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (MS with exceptional experience considered)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Published research in quantum error correction or quantum algorithms
- Proficiency in high-performance computing environments and GPU acceleration
- Deep understanding of quantum decoherence and topological quantum computing
- Experience with quantum circuit optimization and compiler design
- Strong background in linear algebra, probability theory, and information theory
